Lard soap is made from pork fat, while tallow soap uses beef or mutton fat. Both create hard, long-lasting bars with creamy lather. Lard soap tends to be a bit creamier and milder, while tallow soap can be slightly firmer. Both are excellent for natural, traditional soapmaking.
